Week of October 12, 2026
The highlights are just the start. Here’s every update from this week, grouped by category.
Contracts and Quotes
Season Sign-Ups board: Office Ops → Sign-Ups shows every customer as Signed Up, Quote Out, Not Signed Up or Renewals, and you can resend open quotes by email. Learn more: Track Season Sign-Ups Across Your Company
Renewal timing per work type: Set when renewals go out (7 to 180 days, default 60), see what’s due or late on the Sign-Ups board, and use Start Renewal Campaign to quote those customers. Learn more: Track Season Sign-Ups Across Your Company
Sign-up letters your way: On the Deadline & Packet step, write a letter, upload the mailer you already use (PDF, up to 6 pages / 10 MB), or ask support for a Custom Letter. Emails and reminders carry the letter as a PDF, or the full packet if you turn that on. Learn more: Run a Season Sign-Up, What Customers See
Billing and Invoicing
Website Pay Page: Add a Pay Now page to your own website from Settings → Billing → Website Pay Page. Customers find an invoice by its number plus ZIP code or email, and the payment applies itself. Learn more: Take Payments on Your Website
Bank payments you can see clearing: ACH payments show as “Processing” until they clear, Payments has a Bank Payments Clearing box, and reminder campaigns skip customers who already paid by bank. Learn more: See Where Payments Went
Safer QuickBooks sync: Nothing posts until you click Start syncing, linked customers are never overwritten, and same-name matches wait for your confirmation. Learn more: Sync to QuickBooks Online
Review My Routes by area: Review the whole book, pick routes, or draw an area on the map, and see each suggested move on a map. If a customer’s day changes, you can stage a notice that sends only after approval. Learn more: Review My Routes with Soliven
Smarter route booking: Put on Calendar books every day a route runs, skips days already booked, and never re-books days you booked by hand. Apply also skips visits already assigned to someone else. Learn more: Put a Route on the Calendar, Set Up a Saved Route
Field Work and Repairs
Repairs approved on site: After an estimate visit, start the work now or schedule it for later, and the job carries the quote’s lines. Repair jobs also get a Create Invoice from QU-… button, now on pool, lawn, pest and core one-off work types. Learn more: Run an Estimate Visit, Quote and Invoice an Equipment Repair
Issues that close themselves: The office can file an issue without a visit. No-charge repairs close their issue when finished, and billable ones close once invoiced. Learn more: Work Reported Issues From Report to Repair
Chemicals and Dosing
Preferred Chlorine: Set your company’s chlorine in Settings → Water Chemistry and override it on any Pool Profile (Tablets / Granular / Salt). Safety rules still come first. Learn more: Which chlorine does the Dose Plan use?, Dosing rules
Sign for what went in: Techs enter the amounts actually used on the Dose Plan and sign off before completing the visit (field app 1.4.10). Learn more: Bill a monthly pool plan, plus chemicals used
Whole-tablet dosing: Enter what one tablet weighs, and the Dose Plan rounds trichlor to whole tablets, never past the per-visit cap. Learn more: Dosing rules, Dose Plan messages
Customers and Sites
Pick exact campaign recipients: Quote, invoice, marketing, portal invite and autopay campaigns let you pick customers one by one instead of using filters. Learn more: Run a Quote Campaign
Richer imports: Imports can link lake and pond sites to the lake catalog, bring in site tags, and flag out-of-state map matches for review. Learn more: Bulk Import Your Existing Accounts
Reports and Dashboards
Customize your dashboard: Each user picks and orders their own dashboard cards, and the layout follows them to any device. Learn more: Customize Your Dashboard
Contracts by Season: Compare customers, contracts and value with last season, see renewed, new and lost, and export to CSV. Learn more: Read the Contracts by Season Report
Other Improvements
Your OpsVara Subscription card: Setup Wizard → Billing & Invoicing now shows your plan, card on file and trial end.
Fixes: Job pages and date filters use your company time zone, the phone shows reopened visits right away, the portal water-use notice lists only chemicals, and stuck “too many requests” lockouts are gone.
Week of October 5, 2026
The highlights are just the start. Here’s every update from this week, grouped by category.
Pest Control and Lawn Care
Pest Control is here: Seven pest work types (five on by default), one Service Agreement per program, licensed applicator rules and a Care Schedule starter pack. Learn more: Pest Control Work Types
Pesticide application records: Record EPA number, license, rate and method on each application, share a customer PDF, and export a CSV from Reports. Learn more: Record Pesticide Applications
Lawn Care, ready to go: Starter templates and a season playbook, with mowing billed monthly and treatments billed per round. Learn more: Mowing Monthly, Treatments Per Visit
Aquatic
Lake Price Sheet: Under Sales and Billing, then Pricing, then Lake Treatment, set a price per lake or mark a service Not offered. Quotes, contracts, sign-ups and campaigns all follow the sheet, and you can import or export it by CSV. Learn more: Set Your Prices
Per acre-foot application rule: For labels like Aquathol K or Hydrothol 191, enter the label rate as written. OpsVara multiplies it by treated acres and average depth. Learn more: Why Aquatic Application Rates Are Set This Way
Updated pond dye default: Now 0.25 gal per acre-foot, from the Aquashade label. Accounts on the old 1 ppm rule keep it and can switch. Learn more: Dosing Rules and Application Rates
Billing and Invoicing
Soliven Collect sends for you: Send Now sends your edited reminders, renewal requests and no-login autopay setup links. Items settled before anything was sent show “Resolved on its own.” Learn more: Review and Send Soliven Collect
Missed invoice alerts: Office users see “Scheduled invoice not created” with the contract named. Fix it with + Create Invoice. Learn more: Bill the Month Just Finished
A second look at held drafts: Send and Mark as Paid show the hold reason and ask you to confirm. Campaigns skip drafts waiting for a billing check. Learn more: Send an Invoice, Run an Invoice Campaign
Payment and credit safety: Record Payment won’t overwrite a payment that lands at the same moment. Removing a credit reopens an invoice that owes again, and deleting a voided invoice returns its contract credit. Learn more: Send an Invoice
Check-only billing: With online card and ACH turned off, invoice emails, texts and the customer portal show how to pay by check instead of pay links. Learn more: Choose How Customers Pay
Chemical prices per contract: Set each customer’s chemical unit prices on their contract, with an optional separate chemicals invoice. Learn more: Bill Chemicals Used on Invoices
More accurate monthly invoices: Months with nothing to charge are skipped and show a No charge chip. “No charge” one-off jobs aren’t billed, and months close on your company time zone. Learn more: Bill Per Visit on a Monthly Invoice
Contracts and Quotes
Estimate visits and field quoting: Crews can quote during the visit, the customer signs on the device, and the quote goes to the office for review when needed. Learn more: Run an Estimate Visit
Add or remove a site on a contract: Change which sites a contract covers mid-term without changing what the customer pays. Learn more: Add or Remove a Site on a Contract
Add-ons bill only the months left: A $250/month add-on signed October 20, after October’s invoice, now signs at $500 instead of $750. Learn more: After a Quote Is Approved
Smoother renewals: Calendar-monthly plans renew at the monthly price billed, with no doubled next term. Renewal notices reach every office user. Learn more: After a Quote Is Approved
Contract names follow the season: A “Pond Maintenance Plan 2026” item on a 2027 quote now builds a contract and invoices that say 2027. Learn more: After a Quote Is Approved
Routes and Scheduling
Route Books from existing routes: Build a Route Book by picking your routes, and add or remove routes inside it. Stops, days and crew stay the same. Learn more: Set Up a Saved Route
Plan routes before contracts start: In Route Builder’s Scope step, turn off “Only sites whose contract has started” to plan for a cutover, like November 1. Learn more: Set Up a Saved Route
Draft routes stay off the calendar: Drafts don’t appear on the calendar until you activate them. A new Show filter lets you view all routes, hide drafts or show only drafts. Learn more: Put a Route on the Calendar
Stop times and notes stick: Minutes and notes on a route stop are kept when you save. Choose Use site’s visit length to reset them. Learn more: Set a Site’s Visit Length
Soliven scheduling warnings: Soliven flags work types whose target stops can’t fit in a day, and warns in Assign the Day when kept jobs push someone past their hours. Learn more: Assign the Day’s Work
Customers and Sites
Archive customers in bulk: Archive up to 200 customers at once from Customers, then Select, then Archive, with Undo for the batch. Customers with open work or active contracts are skipped. Learn more: Archive Customers
Golf Course and Other site types: Aquatic and lawn care accounts can use the Golf Course type, and any site can be filed as Other. Imports accept both. Learn more: Import Your Customers and Sites
Team Pay and Training
Route pay fixes: Stipends count any completed visit to the route’s stops, and routes with no visits pay no stipend. Stipend-only contractors no longer see “Pay not set up.” Learn more: Approve and Pay a Pay Period
Guided Training update: The first-job lesson now matches the job page, with a new Start here panel. Learn more: Complete Guided Training
Other Improvements
Signed quotes on mobile: Approved quotes show View Signed Quote and open the resulting job.
Invoice line quantities: Single-item invoices keep the quoted quantity and unit price.
Permit fee tax: New quotes follow the template’s Taxable setting.
Smaller fixes: An unsaved-changes warning on inventory products, a working Reports-to picker, full pricing labels, and schedule and report dates in your company’s local time.
Week of September 28, 2026
The highlights are just the start. Here's every update from this week, grouped by category.
Routes and Scheduling
Pin a stop to both route days: On a two-day route (like Monday and Thursday), a weekly stop can be served on both runs. Learn more: Set Up a Saved Route
Route Health flags off-agreement days: Stops booked on a day the agreement doesn't include are now flagged, so mismatches don't go unnoticed.
Job Creator for set-weekday visits: Create a week of visits for any work type, with one row per open service day. Learn more: Schedule on Set Weekdays
Change an existing contract's schedule: Switch an open contract to a fixed interval, set weekdays or a set number of visits, without changing the work type for everyone. Learn more: Schedule a Number of Visits per Period
Quotes
Copy Customer Link: On a sent quote, go to Actions, then Copy Customer Link, to text or share the approval link without emailing it again. Learn more: Send a Quote
Auto-adjusted prices when billing changes: Switch a draft quote between monthly and per-visit billing, and line prices convert automatically. OpsVara asks you to check the amounts before saving.
Billing, Payments and QuickBooks
Per-visit rates on a monthly invoice: Send one invoice a month listing each completed visit per site, which works well for property managers. You can also bill for the month just finished. Learn more: Bill Per Visit on a Monthly Invoice
Create Final Invoice: When a monthly plan ends, unbilled add-ons and chemicals appear so you can invoice them. Final and renewal invoices stay as drafts until you send them. Learn more: Set Contract Invoice Options
Bank (ACH) payment protection: You'll get a warning before taking another payment while an ACH payment is processing. If it hasn't arrived after five business days, you can allow payments again. Learn more: See Where Payments Went
QuickBooks customer matching: Match customers to QuickBooks, mark customers you don't want synced, and import only the QuickBooks customers you need. Learn more: Sync to QuickBooks Online
Sales and Customers
Season Sign-Up: Run spring sign-up campaigns with respond-by deadlines, optional late fees, printed packets with QR codes, a Sign-Up Board, reminders and one signature for the agreement and permit. Learn more: Run a Season Sign-Up
Change property managers in bulk: When a property manager or HOA account changes hands, move sites and transfer accounts in one step instead of editing each site. Learn more: Change Property Managers in Bulk
Team Pay and Training
Worker Compensation improvements: You get clearer commission corrections, custom pay-period ranges, a "Very long shift" flag for missed clock-outs, and safer unlocks. Final statements and pro-rated salary are handled for workers who leave, office managers can't change their own pay, and workers can see their statements in My Pay on mobile. Learn more: Set Up Worker Compensation, Approve and Pay a Pay Period, SeeYour Pay in the App
Guided Training: Open Training from the Help menu (?) to follow a step-by-step path, practice your first job and track your team's progress. Learn more: Complete Guided Training
Worker Compensation requires Advanced Reporting and Compensation to be turned on for your account.
Care Plans, Inventory and Tax
Care Schedule updates: Add a care task to your existing active plans, change the next due date, and choose which work type the job uses. Learn more: Care Schedule
Trucks as stock locations: Go to Inventory, then Stock Locations, and use Add from Vehicles to track stock on each truck. Learn more: Set Up Stock Locations
Use tax exemptions by symptom: Set exempt symptoms (like invasive species) per jurisdiction, so the products used for them aren't taxed. Learn more: Use Tax Exempt Symptoms
Other Improvements
Clearer Apply Saved Route preview: See which day jobs land on, plus how many are new, already scheduled or not yet due.
Sent quotes stay with their site: Void or re-address a sent quote before moving its site to another customer.
New Renewal report columns: Upcoming Renewals now includes Escalations and Work Done.
Instant re-pricing for Worker Compensation: Turning it on updates visits already completed in the open pay period right away.
No clock-in prompt for company admins: Admins who also hold an office role are no longer asked to clock in.
