Review My Routes with Soliven
Ask Soliven to read a route book and list the sites on the wrong route, the contracted sites with no route, and the days over capacity, then apply the changes you agree with and undo if needed.
Updated October 18, 2026
Soliven reads a route book and says what to change: sites that belong on another route, contracted sites with no route, and days over their cap. You select the changes you agree with, apply them in one go, and undo from the same screen if you change your mind. Soliven never moves a site on its own.
Open Dispatch → Saved Routes and click Ask Soliven, beside Build Routes. The same review is in the Soliven button in the corner as Review My Routes with SOLIVEN.
Set Up
Under What To Review, pick a Route Book. The picker opens on your active book and also offers Routes not in a book and All active routes. Soliven only moves sites between routes inside what you pick, never into a route in another book. The work type tabs sit beside the book picker and narrow the review to one kind of work when your company runs more than one.
Under the picker, choose how much of it to review: Whole book, Pick routes (check the routes you want from the list; Select all and Clear help on a big book), or Draw an area. For an area, click Start drawing (or just click the map), click each corner, then double-click or press Finish area. Dragging still pans the map. Every route with a stop inside the area is selected, and clicking a pin adds or drops its route. A drawn area also limits Sites With No Route to sites inside it. Sites only move between the routes you picked, and the review's first line says so, for example "Picked routes: 5 of 24 routes in Spring 2026." Review Routes stays disabled until at least one route is picked.
Under What To Look For, select as many as you like. Each adds a section to the review.
Card What Soliven finds Sites on the Wrong Route Stops that cost their route more driving than another route in the book would spend on them. Sites With No Route Contracted sites on no route, with the route that fits them best. Balance & Capacity Routes over their cap on a service day, thin routes that could merge, and a week with one overloaded day. Click Review Routes.
Review & Apply
The first line says what was reviewed, for example "11 routes, 87 stops in 2026 Test Book: 3 to move, 4 to add, 7 to look at." If AI Recommendations is on your plan, Soliven's own summary appears under it a few seconds later; the findings never wait for it.
Three counts follow: To Move, To Add, and To Look At. Below them the findings are grouped Balance & Capacity, then Sites on the Wrong Route, then Sites With No Route, worst first.
Every row shows a label (Move, Add, No fit yet, New route, Over capacity, Merge, Uneven week), the site and customer, a short reason (how far the site is from each route and the driving saved), and chips with the stop counts on each route before and after. Click a route chip to close the review and pin that route in the list. Map opens a small map under the row: the routes involved as they run today, the site ringed, and the new legs the gaining route would drive drawn dashed in its colour. Lines are straight, the same way Soliven compares them. One map is open at a time. Advice rows carry Open builder.
Rows Soliven can apply start selected. Deselect what you don't want, or use Select all and Clear all on each group. The line above the buttons says how many stops will change. Click Apply N Changes.
Done
The result screen lists each site with its old route, its new route, and, when the customer's regular day changed, the old and new days. Scheduled visits stay put; the next time a route is put on the calendar it uses the new stops.
When a move changes a customer's regular day, Tell customers about the new day appears below the list. It is optional, and nobody is picked to start. Check the customers who need to know, set Starting, and edit the Subject, Email, and (when texting is on) Text for this batch. The preview shows the message as the first customer will read it. Click Stage N notices for review, then Review and send. The notices wait on Sales and BillingCampaigns as a Service Day Change campaign until you approve them there. A customer with no email or phone, or a site whose new route has no set day, cannot be picked. The default wording lives under SettingsCustomer Notifications → Service day change (Review My Routes), and that row's switches must be on.
Undo puts every site back on its original route in its original position. It refuses if one of those routes was edited after the apply, so a batch is never half-reverted.
How Soliven decides
A move appears only when all of these hold for the other route: it covers the work type, whoever drives it is qualified, it has room on the stop's visit days against the caps in force, the customer's agreement days fit the route's service days, and the net driving saved is at least five minutes. The caps are the route's own when set, otherwise the work type's Target stops per crew per day and daily minutes with headroom, the same figures the add-stop guard uses.
Each move is judged against the route as it will be after the moves above it, so several "it fits" answers can never fill a route past its cap. A site that had a clean fit but lost the room to an earlier move reads No fit yet.
An unrouted site only counts as a gap when a contract covers it, running or upcoming. When three or more sites are blocked because the nearest route is full, one New route row says so and links to the builder.
Stops without a live contract are still reviewed
Seasonal books are usually reviewed between seasons, when most stops have no contract running today. Geography does not care, so those stops are judged all the same. Only the Sites With No Route card insists on a contract.
Verify it worked
Open Routes on Dispatch → Saved Routes. The stop counts on the two routes have changed by one per move, and each route's hours have been recomputed. Open the gaining route's Edit dialog to see the site in its new position; the stop's notes and visit length travelled with it.
Troubleshooting
| What you see | Why | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Review Routes is greyed out | Pick routes or Draw an area is chosen and no route is picked yet | Check a route, or draw an area that covers at least one stop |
| "Select at least one." | Every card is deselected. | Select at least one card. |
| "Too many route reviews. Try again in a minute." | Reviews are limited to ten a minute per company. | Wait a minute and click Review Routes again. |
| "A route changed, so Soliven reviewed again." | Someone edited a route between Review and Apply. | Check the refreshed list, then apply. |
| A route "allows N stops and is full" or "allows N minutes and would need about M" | The route filled up between Review and Apply, or its cap is lower than the review assumed. | Review again, or raise the cap on the route's Edit dialog. |
| "… changed since these moves were applied, so they cannot be undone automatically." | A route the batch touched was edited after the apply. | Put the site back by hand in the route's Edit dialog. |
Frequently asked questions
Does Soliven change my routes when I run a review?
No. The review only reads. Nothing changes until you select the rows you agree with and click Apply. Advice rows, such as a merge or a split, never apply; they link to the builder instead.
Why is a move I expected not on the list?
A move only appears when the other route covers the work type, its owner is qualified, it has room on the stop's visit days, the customer's agreement days fit, and the net driving saved is at least five minutes. If any of those fails, the stop stays where it is.
Why did the list change when I clicked Apply?
Somebody edited one of the routes after the review was prepared. Soliven refuses to apply a plan drawn on old routes, reviews again, and shows the fresh list so you can check it before applying.
What happens to visits already on the calendar?
They stay where they are. The next time a route is put on the calendar, by hand or by auto-apply, it uses the new stops. The result screen says how many sites moved so you know what to expect.
Can I undo?
Yes. The screen after Apply has an Undo button that puts every moved site back on its original route in its original position. Undo refuses if one of those routes has been edited since, so it never half-reverts a batch.
Why is there no summary paragraph at the top?
The summary is Soliven's written brief and needs AI Recommendations on your plan. Without it the review still runs in full; you just read the findings without the paragraph.
Will customers be told their day changed?
Only if you choose to, from the result screen. Check who needs to know, stage the notices, then approve the Service Day Change campaign. Nothing is sent until you approve it.
