AI Usage Limits and Off-Topic Requests

Why SOLIVEN sometimes asks you to wait, says it can only help with OpsVara, or stops for the day — and what to do about it.

Updated October 20, 2026

SOLIVEN's AI features — OpsVara Help, SOLIVEN — Settings, Ask Your Data in Reports, and AI Email Draft — each do one job, and they share a few limits so one person or one runaway request cannot use up everyone's AI time. This page lists every message those limits show and what to do about each one.

"I can only help with…"

Each assistant answers questions about its own job and turns away everything else — writing or fixing code, homework, essays, general trivia, role-play, or requests to ignore its instructions. You get one short sentence instead of an answer:

Where you askedWhat it says
OpsVara HelpI can only help with using OpsVara — screens, workflows, and settings. What would you like to do in OpsVara?
SOLIVEN — SettingsI can only help with this Settings page. Which setting would you like help with?
Ask Your DataI can only answer questions about your company's data in OpsVara — for example revenue, jobs, or collections. What would you like to know?
AI Email DraftThe email assistant can only draft emails to your customers.

Follow-ups, greetings, and complaints are fine — "what about last month?", "why?", and "this is frustrating" all get a normal answer.

A real question was turned away

Name the screen or task you mean and ask again — "How do I deactivate a seasonal tech?" rather than "how do I remove someone?". If a plain OpsVara question is still refused, send it to us from SettingsCustomer Support so we can tune it.

"Please wait a moment and try again"

You're using AI features faster than allowed. Please wait a moment and try again.

Each person can make a set number of AI requests per minute, counted across every AI feature. Wait a minute and send it again; nothing you typed is lost.

"You've reached today's AI usage limit"

You've reached today's AI usage limit. Please try again tomorrow.

Each person also has a daily number of AI requests. It resets 24 hours after it started counting. Other people at your company are not affected.

"Your company has reached today's AI usage limit"

Your company has reached today's AI usage limit. It resets at midnight UTC.

Your company has a daily AI allowance shared by everyone. When it is used up, AI features pause for the whole company until midnight UTC; everything else in OpsVara keeps working. If your team regularly needs more, ask SettingsCustomer Support and we can raise it for your company.

Phone calls are separate

Calls answered by Soliven Front Desk do not count toward your company's daily AI allowance. They have their own limits — see What the Receptionist Can and Cannot Do.

Frequently asked questions

Why did SOLIVEN say it can only help with OpsVara?

Each AI feature does one job — help with OpsVara, a Settings page, your report data, or a customer email. A request outside that job, such as writing code, homework, or general questions, gets a short "I can only help with…" reply instead of an answer. Rephrase it as a question about your OpsVara account and ask again.

I asked a real question and got "I can only help with…". What now?

Rephrase it with the OpsVara screen or task you mean ("How do I deactivate a tech in Settings → Team?") and ask again. If a plain OpsVara question keeps getting turned away, send it to Customer Support so we can fix it.

When does the daily limit reset?

Your company's daily limit resets at midnight UTC. Your personal daily limit resets 24 hours after it started counting.

Do phone calls to Soliven Front Desk count toward my company's daily limit?

No. Phone calls have their own limits, described in What the Receptionist Can and Cannot Do.

Can our limit be raised?

Yes. Ask Customer Support; we can raise the daily limit for your company.
