Put Today on the Office TV

Show the Command Center on a wall TV — visits done, where crews are, issues and alerts as they arrive, the lead leaderboard and 5-star reviews — without signing anyone in on the TV.

Requires the Command Center feature. If you do not see it, ask your OpsVara contact whether it is enabled for your account.

Office OpsCommand Center is a full-screen view of today made for the TV on the office wall. It updates itself all day, so nobody has to touch it.

The KPI strip across the top and the Issues & alerts rail on the right never move. The middle of the screen takes turns between the live map, the Big Board, the lead leaderboard and your newest 5-star reviews. Today's wins scrolls along the bottom.

What the Screen Shows

PartWhat it shows
Visits todayVisits done out of today's total, the percent done, how many are in progress and how many are still to go. The arrow compares visits done with the same weekday last week. With more than one work type, the bar is split by work type.
Running lateToday's visits marked Delayed.
Crews outPeople clocked in right now. A clock-in left open since yesterday is not counted.
New leadsLeads created today, from any source.
Open issuesOpen issues waiting to be quoted or fixed. This tile shows only when Issues is on for your company.
Customer ratingThe average of customer ratings from the last 30 days, and how many there were.
CollectedPayments received today and this week. Off until you turn on Show money collected.

Rotating Scenes

  • Live map shows today's visits colored Scheduled, In progress, Done and Delayed, with a red ring on escalated visits. Crew appear as initials at their last check-in or check-out. A crew member sharing their location from the field app shows a pulsing pin. The map uses only what the field app already records; it adds no tracking of its own.
  • Big Board shows only the sites that are past due or due soon, past due first, with each work type's current period. Everything on track is a single count. See Office OpsBig Board for the full board.
  • Lead leaderboard ranks techs by leads won, then qualified, then spotted for the current pay period or month, the same order techs see on their phones.
  • 5-star reviews shows one quote at a time from 4- and 5-star customer ratings that came with a comment. It also includes 5-star Google, Yelp and Facebook reviews your office logged for worker compensation. Those cards show the stars and the reviewer's name. The office's own note is never shown.

Issues & Alerts

The rail lists what needs the office right now, newest first. Anything that came in since the last refresh flashes once.

  • Counts stay pinned at the top: visits today with no crew, past-due visits still open, and sites past due on the Big Board.
  • Below them come Escalated visits (including ones where auto-assign is waiting for your OK), New issue reports from today, and Delayed visits.
  • 1–2 star ratings appear only if you turn them on. The alert shows the stars and the site. The customer's comment never goes on the wall.

The rail is read-only. Act on an alert in the app, and it drops off the TV on the next refresh.

Show It on a TV

  1. Open the TV's web browser

On the TV, open opsvara.com/tv. The TV shows a 6-character code and a QR code. The code changes every few minutes, and the TV swaps in a new one on its own.

  2. Enter the code

On your phone or computer, open Office OpsCommand Center, choose Connect a TV, and type the code. You can also scan the QR code with your phone, which opens the same panel with the code filled in. Only pair a code you can see on a TV in front of you: a code someone sends you could belong to their own screen.

  3. Name the TV and pair it

Type a name under Name this TV, such as "Front office TV", and choose Pair TV. The TV switches to the Command Center a few seconds later.

Only company admins and office managers see Connect a TV and Customize. Everyone in the office can open the screen and use Open full screen on their own computer, which also works for casting a laptop to a TV.

Which TV setup works best

Built-in smart-TV browsers are often slow. A streaming stick with a web browser or a small computer plugged into the TV gives a smoother map. Set the TV not to sleep. The screen also asks the browser to keep the display awake where the browser allows it.

A paired TV looks after itself. It reloads once a night around 3am, picks up OpsVara updates on its own, and keeps the last good numbers on screen if the internet drops.

Rename or Remove a TV

Connect a TV lists your Paired TVs with when each was last seen and who paired it. Click a name to rename it. The trash button removes the TV, which goes back to showing a pairing code within a minute.

On the TV itself, move the mouse or press a key on the remote to show Unpair this TV for a few seconds.

Limits

A company can have up to 25 paired TVs. A TV that has been off for 90 days must be paired again.

Choose What It Shows

Choose Customize on Office OpsCommand Center. Changes reach every paired TV within a minute.

  • Rotating scenes: tick the scenes to show, set how many seconds each stays up (15 to 300), and use the arrows to change the order. A scene your company cannot show says why instead of letting you tick it.
  • On a wall people walk past: all three are off by default, because customers in your lobby can read a TV.
SettingWhat it adds
Show money collectedThe Collected tile: payments received today and this week.
Show lead commission dollars on the leaderboardAn Earned column. It appears only when Field Leads also shows dollars to techs and Worker Compensation is on.
Show 1–2 star ratings as alertsA one-line alert with the stars and the site.

Names on the wall

People and residential customers always appear as first name and last initial, such as "Sarah K.". An HOA, a city or another organization shows its own name.

Frequently asked questions

Does someone have to stay signed in on the TV?

No. A paired TV holds its own credential that can only show the Command Center. It cannot open jobs, customers or settings, and removing it under Office Ops → Command Center → Connect a TV stops it right away.

How often does the screen update?

The KPI strip and the issues and alerts rail refresh every 20 to 30 seconds and the map every 30 seconds. Reviews and the Big Board refresh every few minutes. If the TV loses its connection, it keeps showing the last numbers and the top bar says Reconnecting.

Will customers in our lobby see what we earn?

Not unless you turn it on. Money collected, lead commission dollars and 1–2 star ratings are all off until a company admin or office manager switches them on under Customize. Names on the wall are always shown as first name and last initial.

The TV went back to showing a code. Why?

Someone removed it from the Paired TVs list, someone chose Unpair this TV on the TV itself, or the TV was off for more than 90 days. Enter the new code under Connect a TV to pair it again.

Why is the Lead leaderboard or Big Board missing from the rotation?

A scene only rotates when your company can show it. The Big Board needs Big Board turned on, and the Lead leaderboard needs the Field Leads leaderboard turned on under Settings → Company → Field capture. A scene with nothing to show yet, such as reviews before your first 5-star rating, also sits out its turn.
