Spot a Lead From the Route

See a green pool, an algae pond, a dandelion lawn, or a competitor's truck? Take a photo, drop the pin, choose what you saw, and send it to the office in thirty seconds. Follow it under My Leads.

Updated October 23, 2026

You pass more prospects in a week than the website sees in a month. Spot a Lead captures one in about thirty seconds and hands it to the office, who reviews it before anyone reaches out. Nothing happens to the property owner until the office decides.

Where to find it: the Spot a Lead button on the Map tab, Spotted a lead? on a job's arrive step (for an opportunity at the customer you are serving, or a neighbour), and My Leads on your profile.

  1. Photo

Take a photo from the street or public space, or choose one from your library. Never photograph people or look inside windows. Up to five photos; the office needs at least one unless they turned that rule off.

  2. Ask Soliven (optional)

With a signal, Ask Soliven what it sees reads the photo and ticks the chips it thinks fit, gives a rough size, and drafts a note for the office. Untick anything that is wrong; you decide what is sent.

  3. Where

The pin lands on your GPS position. Tap the satellite map or drag the pin onto the property. Type the street address if you know it; otherwise the office looks it up from the pin.

  4. Who is it for

New prospect is the default. When you are within about 150 feet of a customer's site the app offers it; choose Existing customer to send an opportunity for them (a second pond, a tired pump, a bare lawn). Launched from a job, the customer is already filled in.

  5. What you saw

Choose the chips that fit — the list is specific to your line of work and always includes Competitor sign or truck. Add a note if it helps.

  6. Talked to someone?

Turn it on when you actually spoke to a person and add their name and number. Only turn on They said it is okay to text them if they said so.

  7. Send

Send to the office saves the lead on your phone and sends it as soon as you have signal. You are told when the office qualifies it, passes on it, or it becomes a customer.

My Leads

Profile → My Leads lists every lead you sent with where it stands: Needs review, Qualified, Quoted, Won, or the reason the office passed. Leads still on your phone sit at the top under Still on this phone with Send anyway, Try again, or Discard. When the office turns on the Leaderboard, a second tab ranks the team on leads won, qualified, and spotted this period.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a signal?

No. Tapping Send saves the lead on your phone, and it goes to the office by itself when you have signal. Asking Soliven to read the photo does need a signal, and the lead still sends without it.

What if the app says the office already has this spot?

Someone already sent a lead within about a hundred feet, or it is an existing customer's site. You can send yours anyway, send it as an opportunity for that customer, or discard it, from My Leads under Still on this phone.

When do I get paid for a lead?

Only when your office pays lead awards through Worker Compensation. A spot award is earned when the office qualifies your lead, not when you send it, and a won award when the lead's first invoice goes out. They show on My Pay with the pay period.

Who sees the leaderboard?

Everyone on the team, when the office turns it on. The office also decides whether dollar amounts show.
