Pool and Spa at One Address

Treat a customer's sites at one street address as one stop in the field app, on the dispatch map and in every route count, while each site keeps its own job, readings and history.

Updated October 27, 2026

A house with a pool and a hot tub, or two ponds behind one clubhouse, is one place to park and two bodies of water to service. Each body of water is its own site, because each needs its own water chemistry, so until now it was also two stops: two cards in the field app, two pins on the map, two against every route's capacity. Property Stops keeps the two sites and makes them one stop.

Nothing about the work changes. Each site keeps its own job, readings, chemicals, photos and history. What changes is how the stop is shown, ordered and counted.

Who has this

Property Stops is turned on per company by OpsVara. Ask support to enable it; until then everything reads exactly as before. With it on, the grouping applies only where it is useful: two sites of one customer at the same street address whose map pins are within about 150 metres.

What one stop means

  • In the field app. The day's list shows one card for the property: one stop number, the customer and the street once, then a row per site with its own status. Tapping a row opens that site's job. The map shows one pin with a small count badge, and the arrival prompt reads You've arrived at Martinez — Pool, Spa. After one site's wizard is checked out, the app offers Start Spa so the next site at the same address is one tap away.
  • On Dispatch. The Route Planner shows the sites as one block, with the stop number once and a N sites · one stop pill; dragging moves the whole block, and pinning or ticking it acts on every site in it. The map shows one pin per property with a count, and its popup lists each site with its own Open Job.
  • In every count. Routes, Assign the Day, Optimize, the Route Builder, Route Books, Office Ops week capacity and the Schedule count the property once. Where sites and stops differ, you see both, as in 12 stops (13 sites). Drive time between two sites at one address is zero.
  • Never split. Route planning and the day optimizers move a property as one unit, so a pool and its spa always land on the same route, the same day and the same person. Lake sites that share a launch keep their own grouping.
  1. Check the two sites are one address

Open each site under DirectoriesSites. Both must belong to the same customer and carry the same street address, with map pins at the house. A site without a full street address, or with a pin far from its sibling, counts as its own stop.

  2. Add a site to a route

When you add a site to a route from its page (Add to a Route) and its sibling at the same address is already on another route, the dialog warns: Spa at this address is on Sam — Thu, so the two would be visited on different runs. Click Move it here to bring the sibling onto this route in one step, or Leave it there if you mean it. A route at capacity asks before it takes the extra stop.

  3. Read the counts

On the Route Planner, the Route Builder and Office Ops week capacity, a day with a property stop reads N stops (M sites) when the numbers differ. The stop number in the field app and on the Dispatch map is the same number.

Billing a pool-and-spa contract

A per-visit contract that covers several sites is priced per visit for all of its sites together. With Property Stops or without, OpsVara bills such a contract once per visit day: the first site's visit makes the day's draft at the agreed per-visit price, and the second site's visit on the same day goes on that same draft, adding only what it performed beyond the plan (an add-on, chemicals). Two sites serviced on different days are two visit days. A single-site contract bills exactly as it always has.

If the day's invoice was already sent

When the day's invoice has already gone out before the second site is checked out, that visit is drafted on its own and the office is told, so the two can be compared before anything is sent.

Frequently asked questions

Does this merge the pool and the spa into one site?

No. Each body of water stays its own site with its own job, water test, chemicals, photos and history. Only the way the stop is shown and counted changes.

What counts as one address?

Sites of the same customer with the same street address, and map pins within about 150 metres of each other. Two sites that share a street line but sit far apart on the map stay two stops.

Why do I see "12 stops (13 sites)"?

A route or a day with a pool and a spa at one house has one more site than it has stops. Wherever the two numbers differ, both are shown so nobody is surprised by the extra site.

Can a pool and its spa end up on different routes?

Route planning, Assign the Day and the optimizers treat them as one unit, so they never split them. If you add one of them to a route by hand while the other is on a different route, you are warned and offered Move it here.

How is a pool-and-spa contract billed per visit?

A per-visit contract covering several sites bills a visit day once, priced for all of its sites. The second site's visit on the same day goes on that day's draft; only what it performed beyond the plan is added.
