Complete a Lawn Treatment Visit
Walk a fertilization or weed control round — required photos, symptoms, the treatment plan, logging what you applied, and marking a round Not Applied.
Updated October 9, 2026
A Lawn Treatment visit records what you saw, what you applied, and how much, so you have an application history for every property. In the mobile app the visit runs:
Arrive → Before Photos → Symptoms → Plan → Parts Used → After Photos → Complete
Parts Used only appears when your company has Inventory, which is on the Crew plan and above.
Logging products needs Inventory (Crew and up)
Logging the products you applied uses your company's inventory, which is included on the Crew plan and above. On the Launch plan the treatment plan has no products to choose from: record the round, mark it Not Applied if nothing went down, and note what you used in Completion Notes.
Walk the visit
Arrive
Open the job from Jobs, tap Start Job, check the property, and tap Start Visit to check in.
Before Photos
Take pictures of the weeds or problem areas. At least one is required — the app shows "Add at least one before photo to continue." until you add it. If your company has a symptom list, Ask Soliven suggests symptoms from these photos.
Symptoms
Under Symptoms Observed, tap the weeds and turf problems you see, then tap Build Plan. Symptoms are optional, but they are what the plan matches products to. An empty list means your office has not added symptoms yet under Settings → Symptoms.
Plan
The plan lists the products your company uses for those symptoms, each with a recommended amount (Rec:). Type what you actually used in Actual amount. Add anything else you applied from Add from inventory. When it is right, tap Sign Off.
Parts Used
Log supplies you pulled from the truck that are not part of the treatment — a spreader part, PPE. They come off stock when you finish the visit.
After Photos
At least one after photo is required before you can check out.
Complete
On Wrap Up, fill in Application Details. Application Type is required — until you pick one the app shows "Application Type is required." When the property has a size on file, Coverage Area starts at that size in square feet; change it if you treated a different area. On a Not Applied visit both are optional. Then add Completion Notes — for example "Spot-treated crabgrass along driveway" — and tap Complete & Check Out.
When you did not apply anything
Rain, a customer who waved you off, or a lawn that did not need it — record it rather than skipping the visit. On the Plan step, switch from Applied to Not Applied and pick the reason:
- No symptoms
- Inspection only
- Weather conditions
- Client doesn't want it
- Other
Add anything the office should know under Note. The note is required when the reason is Other — without one the app shows "Add a note when the reason is Other." Then tap Sign Off. No products are logged for that visit, and the reason and note are kept with it.
From a computer
The same visit runs on the web from the job's Start Job button. The steps there are Treatment Plan and After Job Photos, the products field is Actual Amount with an optional Reason if Different, and the button is Sign Off Treatment Plan. On the web you must sign off the plan before you can check out.
What the office sees
On the job's Work Details tab, Visit Details shows the Application Type and Coverage Area you recorded. It fills in as soon as you save them, even before you check out.
Open the job in Jobs and choose the Chemical Log tab. Each product you logged shows as its amount and unit with Applied by and your name. A visit where nothing was logged shows "Nothing logged on this visit yet".
If the visit bills after each visit — the default for treatment rounds on a new Lawn Care account — checking out drafts the invoice for the office to review.
Frequently asked questions
Why does the app keep asking for photos?
Before and After photos are required on Lawn Treatment, because they are part of the application record. You need at least one of each before you can check out.
Why are there no products on the plan?
Products come from the inventory items your company has set up for Lawn Treatment, matched to the symptoms you picked. If nothing matched, add what you applied from inventory below the plan. If your company is on the Launch plan, there is no inventory to choose from — Inventory is on Crew and up.
What if I did not apply anything?
Switch the plan to Not Applied and pick the reason — No symptoms, Inspection only, Weather conditions, Client doesn't want it, or Other — then sign off. Other needs a note saying what happened. No products are logged for that visit.
Do the products I log get billed to the customer?
No. Lawn Care accounts do not add usage lines to invoices, even though the Parts Used step mentions usage billing. Price your products into the treatment round instead.
