Complete a Lawn Maintenance Visit
Walk a mowing visit from Start Visit to Complete & Check Out — Services Performed, optional photos, and Landscaping jobs on the same screens.
Updated October 9, 2026
A Lawn Maintenance visit is built for speed: one required question, optional photos, and a single button to finish. Here is the whole visit as the crew sees it in the mobile app.
Arrive → Before Photos → Details → After Photos → Complete
A Tasks step appears between Details and After Photos only when the visit has tasks on it, such as a Care Schedule task the office added.
Walk the visit
Open the job
In the app, open today's job from Jobs and tap Start Job. The visit opens on Arrive.
Arrive
Check the property details and tap Start Visit. That checks you in. If your phone's location does not match the property, the app asks you to Confirm job site first.
Before Photos (Optional)
Tap Take Before Photo or Attach Photo if there is something worth recording — a damaged bed, a toy left on the lawn. You can skip this step on a normal mow.
Details
The Work Details screen asks one question: Services Performed. Tap each one you did — Mowing, Edging, Blowing, Trimming, Weeding. At least one is required.
After Photos (Optional)
Tap Take After Photo for a finished-yard shot. It answers "did you come today?" before the customer has to call.
Complete
On Wrap Up, add anything the office should know in Completion Notes, then tap Complete & Check Out. The job becomes Completed and the app shows Visit complete.
From a computer
The same visit runs on the web from the job's Start Job button. The steps are named slightly differently there — Work Details and After Job Photos — and opening the wizard on a scheduled job checks it in, so only open it when the crew is actually there.
What the office gets
The job shows Completed with the check-in and check-out times, the photos, and your notes. Services Performed shows under Visit Details on the job's Work Details tab and is printed on its visit summary.
Billing follows the agreement, not the visit. On a monthly agreement nothing is invoiced when you check out; the month's invoice drafts on its billing day. On an agreement billed after each visit, checking out drafts an invoice for the office to review.
Landscaping jobs
Landscaping jobs — installs, cleanups, design visits — use the same screens with two differences:
- Details also asks for Project Phase: Consultation, Design, Installation, Walkthrough, or Other / One-Off. It is required.
- A Materials step comes before the after photos. Log the mulch, stone, or plants you used. On the Crew plan and above you pick them From Inventory, and they come off stock when the visit completes. Anything you do not stock — and everything on the Launch plan, which has no inventory — is typed in with Add material and recorded on the visit only.
Before and After photos are required on Landscaping jobs. The app will not let you continue until each step has at least one photo.
Frequently asked questions
Do I have to take photos on a mow?
Not on a new Lawn Care account. Before and After photos are optional on Lawn Maintenance, so a crew mowing eight yards a day is not stopped at checkout. Your office can require them with Require Before Photos and Require After Job Photos in Settings → Work Types.
Why can't I go past Details?
Services Performed is required. Tap at least one of Mowing, Edging, Blowing, Trimming, or Weeding — until you do, the app shows "Select at least one option for Services Performed."
Does finishing the visit send the customer an invoice?
Not on a monthly agreement — the month's invoice drafts on its billing day no matter how many mows happened. On an agreement billed after each visit, completing the visit drafts an invoice for the office to review and send.
Can I record a video?
On the Crew plan and above, the photo steps also offer Arrival Video (Optional) and Completion Video (Optional). The Launch plan does not include video.
