Print a Custom Field Report

Create a job-free aquatic field report with your own field names, fill what you know, print blank lines for the rest, and save the layout as a template.

Weed Treatment

Use this when you need a printed field report that is not a visit. You name the fields, type the values you already know, and print. Empty fields stay on the page as fill-in lines.

The Field Reports tab is on aquatic accounts (ponds and lakes). Pool, lawn, and other field-service accounts do not see it. Job visit printouts for those industries are still Job Visit Summaries from Batch Print on Jobs.

Three print products that are easy to mix up

The Field Report button on a lake or pond job is the fixed DNR-style visit form. Office OpsField Reports is this job-free builder. Office Ops → Docs is uploaded PDF artwork (Custom Documents) when that feature is on.

  1. Open Field Reports

Go to Office Ops and click the Field Reports tab. The heading on the tab is Field Reports. Click New Custom Field Report.

  2. Name the report and add fields

Type a Report Name (it prints under FIELD REPORT). Under Fields, type each Field Name, then optionally a Value. Click Add Field for more rows. Use the up and down arrows to reorder, and the trash icon to remove a row. You must keep at least one named field.

  3. Optionally pick a customer and site

Customer and Site are optional. They only fill the Service Address header on the printout. Leave them on None if this report is not for a specific site. This never creates a job.

  4. Save and print

Click Save Template to keep the field list and the values you typed. Print / Save PDF saves first, then opens a print page — use the browser Print dialog and choose Save as PDF if you need a file. On an existing template, Save As New Template copies the current layout into a second saved report.

Verify It Worked

Open Office OpsField Reports. The card shows the report name and field count. Click Print on the card, or open the report and use Print / Save PDF. Filled values appear under their navy headers; empty fields show a ruled blank line. There is no job number on the page.

Troubleshooting

What you seeWhat to do
No Field Reports tabThis tab is aquatic-only. Confirm you are in an aquatic company, not pool or lawn.
Save says add at least one field with a nameEvery remaining row needs a Field Name. Blank labels are dropped.
You wanted the DNR chemicals / nuisance gridOpen the job from Jobs and click Field Report on that visit. That form is not this builder.
You wanted a state PDF with boxes in fixed placesThat is Office Ops → Docs (Custom Documents), not this tab.

Frequently asked questions

Is this the same as the Field Report button on a job?

No. The job Field Report is the DNR-style lake or pond treatment form tied to that visit. Custom Field Reports under Office Ops are forms you design, and they are never attached to a job.

Can I upload my state's PDF the way Enterprise Docs works?

Not here. Uploaded regulator artwork is Office Ops → Docs (Custom Documents), which OpsVara publishes for your account. This page is for field names you type yourself.

Do empty fields disappear on the printout?

No. A field with no value still prints as a blank line so someone can fill it on paper.
